“Whatever your situation, the way you handle it matters. What is your situation? What is your attitude towards it? Remember, there is a time to weep and a time to laugh but your attitude towards your situation matters (Ecclesiastes 3:4). A good example is the case of two brothers who found themselves in the prison. We all know the condition in the prison cell – a filthy and unpleasant environment.
“One chose to lament at the condition of the cell and lost his courage. He felt that there was no hope. The other chose to ignore the unpleasant condition in the cell and looked through the window to appreciate the beauty of the blue skies and thank God. This is a case of attitudes towards the same situation by two different individuals. While the former chose to look at the situation from the human point of view, the latter chose to look at it from God’s point of view.”
