MY STAND ON SAME-SEX MARRIAGE – TB JOSHUA

“ ‘Judge not, so that you will not be judged’ (Matthew 7:1). We should talk to people to be saved. I mean, we should talk salvation, not condemnation.

“God hates sin, not sinners. When I say, ‘Do not judge so that you will not be judged’, I mean we should hate sin, not the sinner because sinners can change. If you have killed a sinner by judging him, there will be no opportunity for change. Sinners can be delivered. We should hate the act, not the people because our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the ‘spirit beings’ that cause all these acts.”

“The Bible is my standard. If my parents were one, I would not have been given birth to. Those that are asking this question – if your parents were one, you would not have been given birth to. You that are reading – if your parents were one, you would not be reading this today. God bless the reader and the hearer.”

SCOAN Collapsed Building Foundation Didn’t Fail – Expert Tells Court

scoan building collapes A member of Building Collapsed Prevention Guild (BCPG), Mr. Ebenezer Olumide Ologuntoye, Thursday told a Lagos High court, Igbosere that the test carried out on the foundation and bearing of the collapsed building in Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) did not fail soil test.

Ologuntoye stated this while being led in evidence by the counsel to the church, Olalekan Ojo (SAN).

The witness said BCPG is a non-governmental organization interested in reducing incidents of collapse building to the barest minimum and that he got to know about the collapse of SCOAN building when he was selected as a member of the committee saddled with the responsibility of investigating possible cause of the collapsed building.

The Registered Trustees of Synagogue Church of All Nations SCOAN are facing 110-count charge of involuntary manslaughter, contrary to section 222 of the criminal law of Lagos State 2011 filed against them by the Lagos State government.

The defendants, Oladele Ogundeji and Akinbela Fatiregun charged alongside their companies, Hardrock Construction and Engineering Company and Jandy Trust Limited.

A fifth defendant, the Registered Trustees of SCOAN is facing a lone count of building without approval.

They however pleaded not guilty to charge.

At the resumed hearing of the matter Thursday, the witness who testified before Justice Lateef Lawal-Akapo said that when the building collapsed, the BCPG set up a committee and they were asked to look into the possible cause of the collapsed building.

He said that they carried out an analysis on the soil and foundation and discovered that the foundation and the bearing capacity were adequate.

Ologuntoye, a geotechnical engineer, who specializes in soil Investigations, quality and assurance control also, gave an analysis on how the test were conducted at the site of the collapsed building.

The witness said that two tests were carried out with Dutch Comb Machine, and the sample was taken to University of Lagos Unilag, laboratory for analysis.

“I carried out geotechnical borehole, and took the sample of the soil from top to bottom. Then the samples taken were taken to UNILAG soil laboratory for analysis.

“As a geotechnical engineer, I was expected to investigate what happened to the foundation, the soil on which the foundation stands was okay.

“I investigated the soil using two major equipment, namely: the geotechnical borehole and a dutch -comb, an electrical testing machine. Both equipment were gotten from BCPG.

“Sample of the soil gotten through the borehole test was sent to the University of Lagos Laboratory for analysis while the dutch-comb test result was gotten on the spot of the test and it was signed by all parties at the site.

“The parties that signed the report include representative of SCOAN, Lagos State Material Testing Laboratory and the Corona Court Representative,” he said.

The witness further told the court that he compared and analyzed the result sent by the UNILAG Laboratory with the dutch-comb report.

“My findings on both reports showed that the foundation did not fail and the bearing capacity is adequate.

“I wrote the report on the final analysis of the test carried out on SCOAN and submitted to BCPG.

“The other tests were done in the presence of parties; members of SCOAN, Lagos State testing representative and a representative of the coroner court was also there. There is a meter on the machine which is called Dutch Cone penetration, test and the result was gotten.

“The value got from the machine to know the value of the soil was done at the site, in the presence of the parties and they signed,” the witness said.

The witness also told Justice Lawal-Akapo that he has worked with renowned organizations in Nigeria and the diaspora.

On his work experience, he said he has worked with a Polish company, Naeimor International, Ekiti State Service Local Government Commission, Foundation Development Limited in London Lakeside Park, London among others.

The defence counsel, Olalekan SAN tendered the report of the test to the court and it was admitted into evidence.

Meanwhile, a subpoenaed witness, George Opeoluwa, the president of the BCPG had earlier tendered the report before the court.

Justice Lawal-Akapo thereafter adjourned the matter till May 16, 17 for cross-examination of the witness.

RESPOND TO GOD’S WORD INSTEAD OF REASON!

tb joshua ministries Living in the Word of God in times of trial and temptation will assist you to respond by the Spirit of God instead of complaining, murmuring, lamenting, falling into self-pity, comparing yourself to others, measuring yourself with others and being overwhelmed by your situation.

When anyone approaches me in great emotional havoc and disturbance, I know the Word of God is not dominating their life – because they discuss their battle instead of the One who is fighting for them. Today, we respond to reason instead of the Word of God. If there is anything we have faith in today, it is in man, what man has done – science, works, organisation.

No matter how much we master the Scriptures, without acting on it – I mean, without true obedience to what we read, we still remain spiritual babies. Spiritual babies base their spiritual experience on feelings and emotion because they have not yet learnt to act only on the Spirit of God’s leading. When we obey the Word of God that is spoken by the Holy Spirit, we will grow and mature in times of conflict and suffering.

I meet a lot of people expressing the desire to be Spirit filled and I applaud that desire but I must tell you that you must be grounded in the Word before you are Spirit filled, or else there will be nothing there for the Holy Spirit to remind you of. As the Word dominates your mouth, one day, it will pay off – the Spirit will bring it to your heart.

T.B. Joshua Caution Nigeria on Inconclusive Elections

tb joshua ministry

Prophet T.B. Joshua

On Sunday 17th March 2019, Prophet T.B. Joshua gave a prophetic warning to the government of Nigeria concerning the handling of “inconclusive elections” in the nation.

These were his words: “I have a message for my country and I want to say it. What is the message? The government should be cautious of the way they go about inconclusive election. They should be cautious about it. This can be an open door for satan. You know satan kills, steals and destroys. They should be cautious the way they handle inconclusive elections. This can be an open door for satan. Satan kills, steals and destroys. Lift up your voice and pray. If here is not at peace, you cannot come here. So, lift up your voice and start your prayer from this country, Nigeria. Open your lips and pray for peace and harmony. Pray for the nation, Nigeria – for peace and harmony, for understanding, wisdom. God’s intervention! In Jesus Christ’s name we pray!”

In the aftermath of Nigeria’s contentious governorship elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced that polls in six states were inconclusive. Thus, supplementary elections in the affected states — Kano, Sokoto, Plateau, Benue, Bauchi and Adamawa — have been scheduled for March 23.

GOD’S AGENDA!

tb joshua ministries Whatever you do now that is not in line with God’s agenda for your life that seems to prosper will disappoint you in your greatest time of need. The ups and downs we see in the world today are a practical example of non-application of God’s agenda. The book of Psalm 37:25 says, “I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.”

You are worried and upset about many things but only one thing is needed: God’s agenda! The question is: What is God’s agenda for you? If you are in God’s agenda, your situation is only a weapon God is using to preserve you. Your enemies think they are hurting you, not knowing that their hatred, evil plans, jealousy, envy and bitterness are weapons that God uses to preserve you. There is only one person who can get you out of the will of God and that is you.

Often God’s plan causes us to face problems, persecution, temptation, hurt and challenges – but we refuse to face them and run from the very things that will bring strength to our lives. If you are in God’s agenda, often the things that look like an abortion of God’s plan for us actually end up being the road to its fulfillment, if we stay free from offence.

LET GOD’S WORD DOMINATE YOUR HEART!

LET GOD’S WORD DOMINATE YOUR HEART

If the Word of God dominates your mouth, it will dominate your heart. If the Word of God dominates your heart, it will influence your conduct and behavior. I encourage you to read your Bible slowly, attentively and repeatedly. The more you read with forgiveness, the more you will understand about yourself and this God who created you. The Bible is about what God has to say to you.

No state of being is as rewarding as living in tune with God.

  1. Get His ideas
  2. Work with His projects
  3. See life as He sees it
  4. Discover whom you are and your real value
  5. See yourself as God sees you
  6. Get interested in His plans
  7. Get God’s opinion of yourself and of others

The more you meditate on what you read in the Bible with forgiveness, the more familiar you will become with His voice. Embrace the Word of God as the effective instrument for change. The Holy Spirit uses the Word of God to bring peace into our hearts.
