Prophet T.B. Joshua

“I have a word of advice for you. Healing, deliverance and all of God’s blessings are hindered by the way and manner we go about the issue of money. When it is time for a revival, the Lord will provide what to use and the money to spend. Money should not be exchanged for healing, blessing and deliverance.

“When we give freely as we are given, God will raise His people to bless you abundantly. Whatever that is not from the heart, is a sin. Asking people to bring money before healing, deliverance, blessing and all of God’s blessings is not of God. No one can give money from the heart before healing, and anything given that is not from the heart is a sin.”

The Human Mankind Should Appreciates in T.B. Joshua

T.B Joshua Scoan

Prophet T.B. Joshua

The following article bellow is from the National Daily Newspaper detailing the touching humanitarian gestures going on in the past few Sundays in the Ministry of Prophet T.B. Joshua.

PLUCKING figures out of nowhere to win the popularity contest in Christendom is not going to stop soon. But the world has identified a man of God who remains a human.

In the highly spiritualized world of Christianity, it’s most easy for those labelled men of God to forget the man in their title. On a scale of 1 to 10, there are just a handful of them that can tip the scale at 10 for still being conscious of their tie with sinful mankind. And Pastor T.B Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations ranks well among the few in Christendom.

As a man of God, he takes pleasure in sharing his humanity with people. He does that for love’s sake. That’s his own way of walking with God. “A Christian is someone who is lifting the load with God, walking with the Lord, facing persecution and trials with the Lord, in unison with God,” he said in one of his messages.

So it becomes natural for him to feel what the other battered mortals feel, and, in unison with God, lift their burdens as many as he can. Those he has so touched are in their thousands. And, like Christie Pua, they can’t help telling their stories.

Christie is an Indonesian married to John Egesi, a Nigerian businessman in Indonesia.

Fate dealt them a tough hand when the family of four came to settle down in Nigeria. From Imo they ran to Lagos, where they ended up with no roof over their heads after they couldn’t pay their hotel bills.

In that hopelessness, Christie and her kids, dying to go back to her country, hit the street, begging to survive first, while Egesi hustled around at Alaba International Market. “Sometimes I came home with just N200 for the whole family to spend. On other occasions, nothing,” Egesi said, weeping as he shared his story on a Sunday service.

They eventually found their way to the Synagogue where their story took a dramatic turn. The SCOAN and Emmanuel TV Team took them in and fed them while waiting for Prophet Joshua to meet the family.

Anybody can guess right at what the prophet would do in that situation, an opportunity for him to share in the burden of the Egesis. Certainly, he has seen and shared lots more tear-jacking experiences like that in Nigeria.

Onyinyechi Ibeabuchi was a downbeat postgraduate student of the Abia State University then. She usually used both hands to propel her damaged frame from one point to another. And so she waddled into SCOAN for help that year. And help she did get when she met Joshua. Ibeabuchi rode out of the church that day in a new wheelchair and N93, 000 dole-out for accommodation, feeding and tuition fees. She later visited SCOAN, with her husband, to thank the man of God, She meant just to thank him and SCOAN. But something bigger happened: Joshua gave the couple a brand new car and N200,000.

Countless other kind gestures of Joshua’s, coordinated by SCOAN’s humanitarian arm; dot the landscape across Haiti and other crisis-ridden zones around the world. Many of these are already documented in a 352-page book, Roadmap: Reaching Out To A Troubled World, the Synagogue just published.

According to the book, Joshua and his team have initiated projects catering for the needs of widows and widowers, little people, the elderly, the physically challenged, orphans and the impoverished.

“As part of its international disaster relief efforts, the SCOAN has established a permanent primary health clinic in Haiti,” the book stated. The church provides scholarships to orphans and children of the less privileged, with educational support given to university level.”

Deviants and addicts also have their place in SCOAN’s programme. Repentant armed robbers, prostitutes and militants are rehabilitated and supported financially to help them adjust.

There are other individual encounters when Joshua has brought honey to replace bitterness in people’s experiences, and the change thereafter is never hidden. “We are full of joy now for the life we now live through the grace of God courtesy of Prophet T.B. Joshua and the Emmanuel TV,” the Egesis said.

How happy could they have been? A stone-broke Egesi got N500, 000 and a promise of a job. The man of God also secured Christie and her kids their travel documents and flight tickets, all costing about $7000. She got $3000 as spending money, too. The kids got a scholarship to study anywhere in Indonesia.

All the thousands the prophet has so blessed, including the Egesis, have kept spreading the news around the world. The amount of attention and the reach it gets now have resulted in some kind of ranking: T.B Joshua remains the most popular name in Christian philanthropy and humanitarian efforts in Africa.

Maybe he is until Pew Research Centre says otherwise.

T.B. Joshua donates to Police

The Founder and General Overseer of the Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet T.B. Joshua, has presented three pickup vehicles and 20 motorbikes to the Ghana Police Service to facilitate police patrol activities.

The donation, which included 100 pieces of reflective jackets, was made in partnership with Emmanuel TV, the flagship media agency of the church, through the Ghana branch of SCOAN.

Shared responsibility

Before receiving the donation at the police headquarters in Accra, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr Mohammed Ahmed Alhassan, said the motorbikes would help the police patrol places which could not be accessed with vehicles.

“I am sorry for the armed robbers and other criminals. The motorbikes will be used by armed police officers to ensure that people go about their activities without fear,” he said.

He was happy the truism that crime combat was not the preserve of the police but a shared responsibility with the public was now dawning on society.

Policing, he said, was becoming increasingly complex and demanding. “In fact, it can be dangerous, stressful and dehumanising,” he said.

As a result, Mr Alhassan said, the Ghana Police Service would need the consistent support of all stakeholders including the church, to be able to discharge its mandate satisfactorily.

In line with scriptures, he said Prophet Joshua had brought relief in spiritual and material terms to a number of people through his passion for the needy, support for the aged and victims of natural disasters, while reforming armed robbers and prostitutes.

Peace in Ghana

Speaking on behalf of Prophet Joshua, Mr Samuel Kwame Sackey, who led a delegation from the Ghana branch of SCOAN to make the donation, commended the Police Administration for reducing armed robbery and other social vices and creating a safe environment for businesses.

“Churches now freely attend all-night services and members are not afraid to return home without fear. Investor confidence has been boosted as a result of the peace and safety,” he said.

He lauded the IGP for introducing initiatives such as police visibility, the public confidence reaffirmation programme and transforming the Formed Police Unit and the Motor Traffic and Transport Department.

“Prophet Joshua, Emmanuel TV partners and members of the SCOAN sincerely appreciate these innovations and initiatives and all the benefits these have brought to Ghana,” Mr Sackey said.

He was hopeful that the three top-of-the-range Toyota pickup vehicles and the motorbikes would complement the initiatives of the Ghana Police Service to enhance peace, safety and business growth in Ghana.

Prophet T.B Joshua is STILL a True Man of God!

By Henry Kpakpo Allotey

Prophet T.B. Joshua

It’s been almost two years since I made a declaration that Prophet T.B Joshua is indeed a True man of God. I made that declaration out of my conviction and interpretation of the scriptures. I strictly relied on 1Timothy 3:1-5. which set out the qualities of a Bishop or a Pastor depending on how it’s called in your denomination. That scripture states and I quote ‘This is a faithful saying: If a man reaches out for the position of a Bishop, he desires a fine thing. A Bishop then must be Blameless, the Husband of One wife, Temperate, Sober-minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach, not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous, one who rules his household well, having his children in submission with full reverence’.

Judging by this lofty standard set forth in the Bible, I strongly believed Prophet T.B Joshua meets these qualities and qualifies as a true man of God. It is instructive to state that two years has gone down the line and many things have happened and several changes have occurred which has made some of my readers question if I still hold on to these same views. I have to state that defending a True Man of God is daunting as Satan has convinced the world that people who believe in Men of God in this age are either stupid or lazy. Let me quickly state one of the change that have occurred and examine whether it negates Prophet TB Joshua’s standing as a true Man of God.

1. Collapse of the Synagogue Building: We heard a harrowing news of how a building housing some guests of the synagogue Church of All Nations collapsed, killing over 100 guests who have journeyed to the SCOAN in search of spiritual nourishment. As usual with the haters, news went viral with most questioning why a True Man of God couldn’t accurately foresee the collapse of the building thereby preventing those painful deaths. Some went as far as assert that these deaths were sacrifices offered to a suppose false god and other lies that clearly is borne out of ignorance of the scriptures. Now let’s ask, does being a true man of God means no calamity can befall you?? Can a man of God see every calamity that will befall him?? Can a True Man of God predict every situation that will come his way? Let’s examine the scriptures for answers.

God is the creator of the heaven and earth; he also created humans with the first couple being Adam and Eve. God created both humans perfect with a purpose of filling the earth with righteous inhabitants. Unfortunately, Adam and Eve broke God’s trust in them when they ate from the forbidden fruit and became washed with sin. The consequence is the numerous problems we continue to face today due to our limitations. Now the question is: If God is ALL-KNOWING God, why didn’t he foresee that Adam and Eve will become disobedient to him by eating the fruit? Does it mean our God is not powerful or fake because he couldn’t foresee that Adam and Eve will break his law and plunge the whole human race into sin? Far from it!! Let’s take another example.

Isaiah was a True Prophet of God who foretold several prophetic messages of God which came to pass. Isaiah was one of the most effective Prophets in the Old Testament who fearlessly and boldly proclaimed the judgmental messages of God during the time of the great apostasy in Israel. Isaiah proclaimed doom for Israel if they do not turn away from their bad deeds and come to Yahweh, their God. Now, if this amazing gift of Prophecy did Isaiah see his own death coming? How did Isaiah die?? According to Bible scholars, Isaiah was sawn asunder by wicked King Manasseh!! Yes, King Manasseh used a saw to cut Isaiah into two! Isaiah could have seen that King Manasseh was after him and probably disappear or escape but No! God allowed Isaiah to suffer this painful death even though he stayed true to him throughout his life! Can we argue that because Isaiah did not see his own death, or prevent himself from dying in the hands of King Manasseh so he is not a True Man of God? Far from it!!!

James was a disciple of Jesus Christ who walked with him throughout his ministry. Apart from being Christ’s disciple, he was also his cousin and thoroughly loved by Jesus. After the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, James was one of the disciples who saw Jesus Christ off to heaven and received Christ final instruction. James was a loyal servant of Jesus Christ! Now what happened to James? At Act 12:2, it was reported that James, the Disciple and cousin of Jesus Christ was brutally killed with the sword by Herod Aggripa, the ruler of Judea at that time! Yes! James, the cousin of Jesus Christ couldn’t foresee his own death and ‘allowed’ Herod Agrippa to kill him!! Can we then argue that James was not a faithful disciple of Christ because he couldn’t foresee and prevent his own death?? Far from it!!

Why have I given all these examples? To prove that calamities do indeed happen to children of God! When calamities happen to Men of God, it’s unacceptable to question their standing in the Lord because they couldn’t foresee and prevent it. Now why do calamities sometimes befall Men of God? Why does God allow calamities to befall his anointed ones?? The answer can be found at Ecclesiastes 9:11 which reads: ‘I returned and saw under the sun that- the race is not for the swift, nor the battle for the strong, nor bread to the wise nor riches to men of skill; but TIME AND UNFORSEEN OCCURANCE BEFALL US ALL’! Do you see the highlighted part? Yes, Time and Unforeseen occurrence befall US ALL, not selected few of protected Men of God! This is the reason why a Man of God can die in an accident, be killed by armed robbers or maimed by a collapsing building and this will never prove he wasn’t a Man of God!God sometimes allow unfortunate things to happen to his people to prove a point.

God allowed the devil to bring calamities upon Job to establish the fact that Job will remain faithful to him no matter the cost. God allowed Jesus Christ to be tortured and die like a common criminal just so salvation can reach me and you. Yes, God is all-knowing and all-Powerful. We can neither question his ways nor judge his methods.

The collapse of the Synagogue Building was unfortunate and could emanate from several factors including sabotage, terrorism or just natural occurrence. In whatever the case, only God can know the true course of what happened. It will be erroneous and wrong to either assert that Prophet TB Joshua loses his God given standing because he could neither foretold or prevent the collapse of the Synagogue building. From the examples I have given, it clearly shows that God sometimes allow situations to happen including painful ones like the death of the 100s in the Synagogue building. This is due to Time and Unforeseen occurrence that happens and this affects all of us.

In conclusion, I still maintain that Prophet T.B Joshua is still a Genuine Man of God with God’s anointing on him to direct all perishing souls to Christ which leads to salvation.
